The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from six Sunday night until nine Monday morning for portions of south-central and southwest Illinois as well as portions of central, east-central, and southeast Missouri.
A light mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain and/or drizzle is expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of less than half an inch and ice accumulations of less than one-tenth of an inch.
Roads will quickly become slippery and hazardous for travel, especially bridges, overpasses, and other elevated surfaces. Plan for slippery road conditions tonight through the Monday morning commute.
