Selmaville Comes Up Short In Finals, NWI Season Ends

The Selmaville Rockets came up short in their bid for a regional championship, falling to top-seeded Altamont Lutheran at Odin 31-25.  Selmaville had a furious comeback in the 2nd half after starting the game trailing 13-0 after the opening quarter and 22-7 at half.  Wyatt McCarty finished his career at Selmaville with 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Riley Tate added 6 points, 12 rebounds and 9 blocked shots.  Selmaville’s season comes to an end at 13-12.

North Wamac/Irvington dropped their regional semifinal to Rome 55-32.  Dameon Wooden had 15 in the loss as the Indian Eagles finished the season with 16 wins.  They advance to Monday’s title game against top-seed Raccoon after their 71-21 win over Grand Prairie.

Woodlawn won their Class S regional knocking off Waltonville 57-22.

At Bartelso, Central City advanced to the title game 55-29 over Willow Grove.  Bartelso beat Breese All Saints 35-22.  They will play for the title on Monday.

Today at Pinckneyville it’s TSJ Nashville taking on the hosts at 5.  At Albers today, the hosts take on Okawville at 1.

Today in Class M Regional championships, Nashville will host Carlyle at 11.
