The SC Storm 16u won the Ice Breaker Indoor Softball Tournament held in DuQuoin this past weekend. SC finished 5-0 on the weekend winning the title game over a solid Beecher Lady Cats team from the south side of Chicago 11-0. Kyra Swift and Alli Lammers hit their first career home runs in the win.
SC won an exciting semifinal game over the SI Aftershock 11-9. SC was down 6-2 after the opening inning but scored 7 runs late to earn the win. Taylor Stone a big home run in the 4th inning. Also hitting home runs in the tournament were Hailey Lane, Lauren Johnson and Ella Watwood.
