The Salem Wildcat Bowlers are Sectional champions and will compete at State this weekend after winning the Collinsville Sectionals Saturday by 23 pins over O’Fallon. Jerseyville, Mascoutah, Waterloo and Harrisburg also advanced as a team.
Salem was led by Colton Shoemaker who was 4th high series for the tournament at 1398 with Nick Gregg 1388, Kannon King 1297 and Charlie Hunter 1215. Dominick Winkler and Rhett Detering split time as well with 759 and 513.
Also advancing as individuals are Breese Central’s Colton Martin with Mater Dei’s Ryan Voss as a potential at large qualifier.
