The Salem Lady Cats opened up the Vandalia Mid-Winter Tournament with a loss to the host Lady Vandals 46-38. Alesia Keller was the lone Lady Cat in double figures with 14, Jordan Kessler added 9. Salem is back in action in the consolation semifinals on Thursday at 6pm when they play Madison after their loss to Effingham in the opener.
The Centralia Annies dropped their opener in Vandalia to Greenville 52-23.
