The Salem Lady Cats dropped their 5th straight falling at home to Breese Central 57-27. Central was on fire early from deep hitting 7 three’s in the opening 2 quarters. Salem was led by Alesia Keller with 11 and Jordan Kessler finished with 10. Dixie Ottenschneider added 16 points and Melanie Hilmes added 11. Salem is 8-11 and 1-5 in the conference as they open the Vandalia Tournament on Monday at 11:30 against the host Lady Vandals. Breese improves to 13-6 on the season and 5-1 in the Cahokia.
South Central fell to Windsor/Stew-Stras 43-42. Brooklyn Garrett led the Lady Cougars with 19 and Taegan Webster added 15.
