The Salem Wildcats dropped their game at Vandalia on Saturday 51-50 after having a 10 point lead to start the 4th and leading by as many as 12. The Cats had a chance in the games final 8 seconds with the ball and down a point, but could not get a shot off before time expired to fall to 5-13 on the season. Jairen Stroud led Salem with 16, Connor Tennyson added 10 with 9 from Sam Greene and 8 from Noah Nix. The Cats are back in action on Friday when they host 7th ranked Breese Central.
The Salem JV earned a 59-25 running clock win led by Gavin Zimmermann with 19, Aidan Rose 10 and Noah Nix 7. The Salem JV hit 9 three pointers in the game.
