The Salem Wildcats won their 4th game in 5 tries and got their first Cahokia Conference win after beating visiting Roxana last night 54-43. Salem was led by Jairen Stroud who was great on both sides of the ball. Stroud hit 4 three pointers on his way to 14 points. Connor Tennyson also had 14, Salem got 6 each from Sam Greene and Noah Nix. Aidan Briggs led Roxana with 13. The Wildcats JV finished their game on a 14-0 run to beat Roxana 53-39.
Salem returns to action today at Vandalia with a 4pm JV start and the varsity tip on WJBD around 5:30. The Vandals are coming off a win over Litchfield last night 56-45.
