Jr High Roundup: Salem & NWI Earn Wins, Selmaville Falls To Sandoval

Franklin Park Rolls Breese All Saints

After having over 2 weeks off without a game due to the holiday break, the Franklin Park Bobcats defense did not struggle as they rolled past Breese All Saints at the Bobcat Den 60-11 to improve to 16-5 on the year.  Trey Clark led the way with 22 points, Landen Maxey added 10 with 6 each from Payton Gullion and Caeden Miraglia.  The Bobcats will return to action on Thursday with a trip to Bartelso.


Rockets Fall To Sandoval

Selmaville fell to Sandoval 44-25 at home.  Brendan Smith had 8 points and 7 steals to lead the Rockets while Wyatt McCarty added 7 points and 4 rebounds.  Austin Hoffman had 17 points to lead Sandoval and Josh Gordon added 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Selmaville won the JV game 30-8 behind 8 points from Logan Butts and Jaxon Ward and 7 from Owen Caldwell.  The Rockets will honor their 5 8th graders on Monday.


NWI Beats Patoka In Overtime

North Wamac/Irvington beat Patoka in overtime 32-28 to improve to 12-8 on the season.  Dameon Wooden led the varsity Indian Eagles with 11, 6 each from Jacob Heern and Jaxon Neal.  Brady Cain finished with 13 points 8 rebounds and 6 blocks for Patoka.  Patoka won the JV game 29-19.
