Holiday Tournaments tip-off today around the area. At the 50th annual Vandalia Holiday Tournament, Greenville opens the day at 9:30 with Shelbyville, Nokomis and Okaw Valley at 11, Christ Our Rock opens with Macon Meridian at 12:30, Flora and Cumberland at 3:30, Okaw Valley and Greenville play at 5, Shelbyville and Pana at 6:30 and then Christ Our Rock and Vandalia finish the day at 8 pm.
The 38th annual Dieterich Holiday Tournament opens today. OPH and Dieterich will play at 11:30, Red Hill and Grayville at 1, Arcola and OPH at 2:30 followed by South Central and Red Hill at 4. Grayville takes on CHBC at 5:30 and Dieterich and Sullivan play at 7.
The 48th annual Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament opens up today. The day begins with 4th seed Red Bud taking on Thompsonville at 9 followed by #5 Goreville and Cobden at 10:30. 8th seed Marissa takes on Christopher at noon followed at 1:30 by top-seed Sparta and Zeigler. 2nd seed Altamont plays Century at 3:30, 7th seed Johnston City and Waltonville at 5 pm. DuQuoin is the 3 seed and opens at 6:30 with Elverado and the final game is 6th seed New Athens taking on Sesser Valier at 8 pm.
The 58th annual Eldorado Tournament starts today. At 8:30 it’s Hamilton County and Harrisburg followed by top seed and undefeated Herrin taking on Carrier Mills at 10. 4th seed Carterville opens with NCOE at 11:30 followed by Vienna and Edwards County at 1:45. Anna will play Fairfield at 3:15, 2nd seed Massac County plays Gallatin County at 4:45 with Eldorado at West Frankfort playing at 7. The final game is 3rd seed Carmi taking on Hardin County.
At the 55th annual Carlinville Holiday Tournament, Staunton and Calhoun will open up at 1:30 followed by Wood River and Gillespie at 3, Carlinville and Litchfield at 4:30, and then Hillsboro and Bunker Hill at 7:30.
