The Salem Wildcats will close down their pre-Christmas portion of their schedule tonight at home with a Cahokia Conference matchup with the East Alton-Wood River Oilers.
Salem enters at 1-9 on the season and 0-3 in the Cahokia.
The Oilers are coming off their first conference win of the year beating Roxana 52-48 and enter at 3-9 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Oilers return everyone from last year and also have wins over Staunton and Piasa with close losses to Hillsboro, Maryville Christian and Civic Memorial.
I’ll have the call along with Craig Holmes tonight from B.E. Gum starting at 7:30 on 100.1 FM and WJBDradio.com.
The Wildcats will then be off until the start of the Duster Thomas Tournament in Pinckneyville on December 27th with a game against the host Panthers.
In other action, the South Central Cougars will travel to Sandoval to take on the Blackhawks tonight. Sandoval is looking for revenge as the Cougars knocked them off just 5 days ago at the Wayne City Tournament 58-29.
The Centralia Orphans will compete in South Seven action tonight with a tough game at Carbondale.
