North Clay Overcomes Deficit To Win Conrad Allen, SC & Sandoval Win Trophy Games
The North Clay Cardinals won the Wayne City Conrad Allen Championship overcoming a 10-point deficit to knock off the hosts 54-52. Cisne beat Lovejoy in the 3rd place game 59-52. Crab Orchard over Webber Township 74-71 for 5th. In the 7th place game it was Gallatin County over Edwards County 52-38.
The day began with the Sandoval Blackhawks winning the 11th place game knocking off Grayville 82-75. Then South Central won the 9th place game over the JV of Hamilton County 55-36. Aidan Dodson led the Cougars with 22, Ethan Watwood added 18.
Hatchets Repeat As St Elmo Champs
Windsor/Stew-Stras repeated as champions of the St Elmo Holiday Tournament after beating top-seed Hillsboro 70-58 in the title game on Saturday. St Elmo/Brownstown won 3rd place over Cumberland 65-52. CHBC over Ramsey in the Consolation game 46-43 and it was Patoka/Odin winning the 7th place game over Mulberry Grove 76-62.
