In middle school boys basketball tonight, South Central will play at Altamont. The Falcons are coming off a 51-38 win over North Clay last night to improve their record to 9-4. Westin Neilson finished with 26, Sebastian Kruger added 11 and Luke Shumate 8. SC’s JV improved to 12-6 with their 34-18 victory. Colton Cartright had 15 in the win.
Also last night, Iuka beat West Salem 64-13. Kaeden Bevolo had 21 points and 7 assists. Leland Wombles added 17 points and 9 rebounds and Breyson McGijnnis also had 10 points Iuka won the JV game 30-21 with Trigg Aaron scoring 16 and Landon White 8.
North Wamac improved to 11-6 with their win over Trinity St Mary’s Centralia 48-35. Azlynn Witthaus-Strait had 23, Dameon Wooden 12 and Jacob Heern 6. North Wamac also won the JV game 37-16 with Cooper Teaff scoring 17 and Jaxon Neal 14.
Altamont Lutheran beat Selmaville 50-39. The Rockets were led by Wyatt McCarty with 15 and Brendan Smith 11. Altmaont got 25 from Cooper McManaway and Zane Miller added 10.
Patoka’s record improved to 8-7 on the season with a 32-25 win on Thursday night over Sandoval. Brady Cain had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. Jesse Cain knocked down to timely three pointers and finished with 6 points. Kody Burks had 6 and Quentin Faulkner added 4. The JV team won as well moving to 12-3 on the season.
