The President of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital shared the news on the hospital’s recent awards during the Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Wednesday.
Damon Harbison concluded the list with the announcement the hospital is ranked #11 in the country in the IBM Merative Top 100 Hospitals Award program.
“Last three years when we have been a top 100 hospital. If you look further down the rankings for us as a rural small hospital which is what we are classified, we are #11 in the entire nation. And you are cheering for something to be proud of in the community, not just the hospital. Because this is truly a partner and a pillar that we can all succeed together.”
Harbison also thanked the committed staff for the award while handling the COVID pandemic.
He also noted the hospital is a Central Management Services (CMS) five-star hospital for three years running. The score is the highest possible. Harbison says St. Mary’s has also earned an A rating from Leapfrog eight quarters in a row. US News and World Review has recognized the hospital’s COPD program. The Wound Center, which has grown to record volumes, has received awards from the Restorix Wound Center for patient satisfaction and distinct quality.
