The IHSA football season concluded for the small 4 classes in Illinois on Friday. Lena Winslow won the 1a title over Camp Point Central 30-8 in games all played at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. In 2a, St Teresa beat Downs Tri-Valley 29-22. In 3a, Elmhurst IC Catholic beat Williamsville 48-17. In 4a, Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield) 44, Providence 20
The day begins Saturday with the 5a finals at 10 am with Nazareth Academy taking on Peoria. Then the 6a finals between Prairie Ridge and East St Louis at 1 pm. In 7a it will be Mt Carmel Chicago and Batavia at 4 pm and then the 8a finals at 7 pm between Lincoln-Way East and Loyola Academy.
