Harlan’s 8 Three’s Help Orphans To Opening Night Win — Prep Hoops

The Centralia Orphans got 8 three pointers from Cruz Harland as they had no issue knocking off Civic Memorial 58-30.  Also last night Carbondale routed Maryville Christian 63-24, Gateway Legacy over Southwestern 59-33 and Jerseyville beat North Greene 64-25.  Centralia returns to Roxana tonight to take on the host Shells at 7:30 in the main gym following Southwestern and East Alton-Wood River.  In the Junior High Gym, Freeburg and Maryville Christian will be followed by North Greene and Marquette.

Tonight at Christopher, Wayne City takes on New Athens followed by Zeigler Royalton and Webber.  Last night, NCOE fell to Waltonville 53-37 and Christopher beat Thompsonville 47-30.

At Mulberry Grove, Lebanon and Mount Olive at 5:15, Patoka/Odin opens their season at 6:45 against Father McGivney followed by Ramsey and CHBC.  Last night, Father McGivney beat Ramsey 59-32, St Elmo/Brownstown routed Mount Olive 72-38 and Mulberry Grove over Lebanon 64-44.

At Cumberland, the hosts take on Marshall followed by Newton and North Clay in opening round games.  Last night Casey knocked off Okaw Valley 60-45 and Vandalia lost to Dieterich 59-47.

At St Anthony at 5pm it’s Mattoon and Rantoul, then Effingham and Breese Central at 6:30 and TTown takes on Highland at 8pm.  Last night, TTown beat Rantoul 68-49 and St Anthony over Robinson 50-43.

At Elverado, Agape Christian takes on Egyptian followed by Elverado and Crab Orchard.  Last night, Sparta beat Cobden 77-37 and Marissa over Galatia 51-35.

At Vienna, Mounds Meridian takes on Carrier Mills followed by Massac County and Eldorado.  Last night, Mounds beat Eldorado 71-57, Vienna 94-31 over Carrier Mills.

At the Wesclin/Mascoutah Tournament… at Mascoutah it’s Riverview Gardens and Marion followed by Collinsville and Mascoutah.  At Wesclin it’s Nashville and Columbia followed by SIUE Charter and Wesclin.  Last night Collinsville beat Marion 57-44, Columbia knocked off SIUE Charter 73-30 and Nashville over Wesclin 56-43.
