It’s the beginning of the prep basketball season with various area Thanksgiving Tournaments starting tonight. The Centralia Orphans are once again at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic. The Orphans will open at 6pm tonight against Civic Memorial followed by Maryville Christian and Carbondale in the Main Gym. In the Junior High Gym, Southwestern plays Gateway Legacy followed by Jerseyville and North Greene.
At the 48th annual Christopher Turkey Tournament, NCOE takes on Waltonville followed by Christopher and Thompsonville.
At The Cumberland Thanksgiving Tournament, Casey Westfield opens with Okaw Valley followed by Vandalia and Dieterich.
At the St Anthony Turkey Tournament, Rantoul and TTown are followed by St Anthony and Robinson.
At the Mulberry Grove Turkey Tournament, Father McGivney and Ramsey open followed by Mount Olive and St Elmo/Brownstown with Mulberry Grove and Lebanon playing the finale.
At the Wesclin/Mascoutah Tip Off Classic, Marion takes on Collinsville at the same time Mascoutah plays Riverview Gardens. Then it’s Columbia and SIUE Charter while Wesclin plays Nashville.
