The prep volleyball season has come to an end with the state trophy games held Saturday at Redbird Arena in Normal. Freeport Aquin won the 1a title over Springfield Lutheran, with NCOE taking 3rd over Newman Central Catholic.
In 2a, Genoa Kingston won the state title over Elmhurst IC Catholic with Freeburg falling in straight sets to Illinois Valley Central in the 3rd place match.
In 3a, Wheaton St Francis beat Nazareth Academy for the state title with Taylorville losing in 3 sets to Joliet Catholic for 3rd.
In 4a, Mother McAuley beat Lisle Benet Academy for the state title. Barrington over St Charles East in the 3rd place match.
