Today is the state prep cross country meet held at Detweiller Park in Peoria. Mater Dei will compete as a team in the 1a girls team finals along with Freeburg. Individually Christ Our Rock junior Sarah McCowen will compete along with Columbia’s Madison Missey and Roxana’s Riley Doyle and Gabrielle Woodruff.
The 2a girls meet individually will include Olney’s Tatum David.
The 1a boys team competition will include the Cahokia’s Freeburg Midgets. Individually, Christ Our Rock junior Elijah Gregory will run along with Columbia’s Ethan Hogan and Calvin Range.
The local 2a boys teams running will include Mt Vernon Rams along with Marion.
