The Selmaville Rockets outlasted the Wamac Eagle Indians in overtime by a score of 49-45 to capture the 3rd place trophy Friday night.
You could tell the game was played in a church because Wamac had not one but 2 buzzer beaters from 3 point or beyond that went in! 1 from half court at the end of the half and one from a little beyond the volleyball line that banked in at the end of regulation!
It was a hard fought game by both teams and was very fun to watch. Selmaville was led in scoring by Brendan Smith with 19 points and 6 steals while Jaxon Ward had 10 points, 5 assists and 3 big rebounds while Riley Tate had a nice game to round out things with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 blocks.
Wamac was led by Dameon Wooden with 20 points.
Selmaville will head to the Pirate ship in Iuka Monday to resume conference play.
