Bobcats Knock Off SC On The Road
The Franklin Park Bobcats held South Central scoreless until the final minute of the first quarter, and then again held them scoreless for most of the 3rd quarter as they earned a 41-28 win over the Falcons. Eight Bobcats scored led by Jaret Gibson with 10, Landen Maxey, Trey Clark and Caeden Miraglia added 6. Salem returns to action this weekend at the Marion Tournament. The Falcons return to action tonight when they host Windsor/Stew Stras in a Jr NTC matchup.
Franklin Park’s JV and 6th graders each won their games as well.
Rome’s Top Seeds Dominate Their Way Into Semifinals
At the Rome Tournament, Raccoon advanced to the semifinal with a 60-17 win over Bluford. Michael Organ had 30 to lead Raccoon, Caden Lamb added 9 along with Marquis Ettress. They advance to take on Waltonville tonight at 7:30 as Raccoon improved to 6-0 on the season.
The other semifinal will feature Woodlawn and Wayne City tonight at 6:15. Woodlawn advanced with a 55-10 win over Patoka last night.
St Mary’s Centralia Tournament Continues
The St Mary’s Tournament in Centralia continues tonight with consolation semifinal at 6pm it’s Summersville and Sandoval, then the first championships semifinal at 7:15 with North Wamac taking on TSJ Nashville.
Last night Willow Grove knocked off Selmaville in semifinal play 46-30. Selmaville was playing without leading scorer Wyatt McCarty. Logan Butts had 10 points and 6 rebounds for the Rockets and Riley Tate finished with 8 points and 11 rebounds. Cooper Harnish led Willow Grove with 18 and Sammy Hernandez pitched in 13.
Central City opened up the Pinckneyville Tournament with an 85-10 victory over Tamaroa.
