Bobcats Fall At Unbeaten Wesclin, Head To SC Tonight
Franklin Park fell to 6-0 Wesclin on the road 57-54 last night. Trailing 33-23 at the half, Salem outscored Wesclin 31-24 in the second half but fell just short. Payton Gullion had the hot hand for Salem finishing 4-for-5 from behind the 3-point arc finishing with 17. Avery Gullion and Trey Clark added 11 and Landen Maxey finished with 9. Franklin Park is right back in action tonight on the road at South Central.
The Salem JV opened up their season last night with a 40-30 win. Kyler King had 23 to lead Salem, Silas Lux added 6.
St Mary’s Tournament Action Continues
At the St Mary’s Tournament in Centralia last night, Selmaville opened with a 37-26 win over Odin. Riley Tate finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Wyatt McCarty added 12 with 6 assists and Brendan Smith finished with 11 points and 5 steals. Drew Haines led Odin with 12. Selmaville will play Willow Grove tonight in the 2nd game at 7:15 after their 4 point win over the hosts. St Mary’s and Odin play the first game tonight at 6pm.
Top 2 Seeds Open Up At Rome Tournament Tonight
At Rome tonight, top-seed Woodlawn takes on Patoka at 6:15 followed by 2nd seed Raccoon and Bluford at 7:30.
Bevolo’s 22 Leads Iuka Over Kell
Iuka knocked off Kell 52-21. Kaeden Bevolo led all scorers for Iuka with 22, Leland Wombles added 18. Iuka won the JV game 26-20. Braxtin McGinnis and Trygg Aaron had 6 each.
