The SC Lady Falcons won the Hutsonville Softball Sectional beating Dieterich on Saturday 6-2.
Maddie Peddicord was the winning pitcher going all 7 innings allowing 1 earned run with 11 strikeouts. She also had 3 singles at the plate.
Brianna Buchanan had a double and 2 RBI, Jamalyn Logan added a single along with Kinley Swift who drove in 2. Baylee Brown had 2 hits with a double and drove in a run with Annie Ruholl also driving in a run.
SC is 19-5 and advances to the IESA State Tournament Friday at 3:30 in Normal against Bloomington Corpus Christi.
