The Salem Wildcats and Mt Vernon Rams played to a 3-3 tie at FCC Fields yesterday in prep soccer.
Salem scored first on an Eli Baker tally and added another on Andrew Tate’s first half score. Salem led 3-1 after Haden Irvin scored, but the Rams would mount their comeback.
After the game was tied up at 3 late, Salem’s Eli Baker earned a free kick just outside the box, and scored on the play, but the official waived off the would be winning goal and the game finished in a tie.
Salem is back in action tomorrow when they travel to Wesclin for Cahokia play.
