Bobcats Defense Let’s Them Down At Olney
5 errors early on and 6 total in the game cost Franklin Park in a 9-1 loss at Olney. Landen Maxey was solid on the mound but got no help from his defense allowing 8 runs, only 4 earned, in his 5 innings of work. At the plate, Payton Gullion went 2-3, Maxey had a double and scored with Evan Barnes adding the only other Salem hit. The Bobcats drop to 16-5 and will travel to Centralia on Thursday.
Odin will play at home today against Central City, Selmaville travels to Woodlawn.
SC Opens Up IESA Regionals Saturday
The IESA baseball regionals open up today. In the TTown Regional, 4th seeded Shelbyville Moulton will host 5th seed Brownstown with the winner playing top seed South Central on Saturday at 10am in TTown.
The other semifinal game is 3rd seed Stewardson-Strasburg taking on 6th seed North Clay with that winner playing Saturday at noon against the host Wooden Shoes. The championship game will be Monday at 4pm.
