Bobcats 10-Game Win Streak Snapped At Flora
Franklin Park saw their 10-game winning streak snapped as Flora walked it off on them 9-8 yesterday. Franklin Park jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first but 3 Salem errors through the game led to 5 unearned runs in the loss. Evan Barnes was 3-4 with an RBI, Jaret Gibson had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Landon Tennyson drove in 3 runs, Avery Gullion singled and drove in 2. Keytin Grawe had 2 hits and 2 runs, Payton Gullion doubled and scored, Kyler King scored 3 times, Landon Maxey added a hit along with Max Vincent. Salem outhit Flora 13-8. The Bobcats will travel to Breese today after they beat Carlyle yesterday 12-3.
Big Inning Lifts Citians Over Rome
Central City scored 6 runs in the 2nd inning helping them to an 11-1 win over Rome. Grayson Woodward, Will Stanton and Preston Feig had RBI in the big inning. Archie Goeway was the winning pitcher going 5 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits with 7 strikeouts. Kade Jackson threw an inning of relief. Feig and Goeway had multi-hits days for the Citians.
In baseball action today, the SC Falcons will travel to Neoga. Odin is at home with Willow Grove, Selmaville goes to Rome.
