SC Falcons Stay Hot With Win Over Vandalia
The SC Falcons knocked off visiting Vandalia 5-2. Kaiden Harrell was the winning pitcher going 6 innings allowing 3 hits and no earned runs with 9 strikeouts. Colton Tockstein got the final 3 outs. At the plate, Harrell drove in a run, Colton Cartright went 2-2 with a run scored, Luke Shumate had 2 hits, including a double, with 2 runs scored Ryker Dodson singled and scored, Aidan Hoover also had a hit and run. SC will be in tournament action today at home.
Iuka Get’s Combined No Hitter In Win Over Sandoval
Iuka beat Sandoval 12-0 with 2 pitchers combining to throw a no-hitter from Damon Jennings and Vince Krajefska. At the plate, Kurt Sullens, Kaden Cripps and Jennings all had multiple hits. Kaeden Bevolo then shut the game down with a great catch in shallow right field running down the line from first base.
Central City Knocks Off Raccoon
Raccoon fell to Central City 11-1. In the loss, Michael Organ homered and also struck out 4 on the mound. Walker Sherwin struck out 2 in relief. Sherwin and Drake Rector added singles. In the win, Preston Feig drove in 5 runs on 3 hits. Will Stanton was the winning pitcher allowing just 1 hit and striking out 10.
