In a close back-and-forth game, the Franklin Park Bobcat came back to beat Selmaville 12-6 to improve to 5-2 on the season.

The Rockets led 6-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Payton Gullion hit a 2-run triple to tie it and Avery Gullion drove him in to take a lead they would not give up.

Max Vincent earned the win going 4 innings allowing 2 hits and 4 earned runs with 5 strikeouts.  Jaret Gibson came in to work the final 3 innings allowing 2 hits and no runs for the save.

At the plate for Franklin Park, Avery Gullion finished with 2 hits and drove in 5 runs.  Keytin Grawe had 2 RBI and 3 runs scored as he doubled, Payton Gullion was 2-3 with a triple, RBI and 3 runs scored, Gibson doubled twice and drove in a run along with Landen Maxey and Landon Tennyson.  Scout Puricelli scored twice and Evan Barnes added a run.

For the Rockets, Logan Butts drove in 2, Brendan Smith had a hit, 2 runs and RBI, Riley Tate singled and scored and Tripp Garden had a double, RBI and run scored.  Wyatt McCarty was solid on the mound allowing 8 hits and only 5 earned in 4.2 innings of work.  Zane Dodson got the final 4 outs of the game.

Franklin Park is off today before they head to the Greenville Tournament Saturday.
