The Salem boys golf team kicked off the 2022 season at the Hickory Stick invitational tournament on Monday. Salem 334 team score finished 4th in the 20 team field. Salem was led by Junior Jairen Stroud finishing 8th overall with a score of 79. Rounding out Salem scores were Brogan Gregg 83, Matt Slover 84, and Cale Harris 88. We were looking to add a few more 18 hole events this year to our schedule and this was a great way to kick off our season. Events like these are a real test for our guys and give us a chance to play a similar type format to the postseason tournaments. I expect us to continue to get better and build off this start. Salem is back in action on Wednesday when we host Christ our Rock at the Salem Country Club.
