The Salem 11u Little League All-stars won the District 1 Tournament in Robinson last night knocking off the hosts in the title game 11-0. Salem got a combined no-hitter from Bentley Bryan and Zane Applegate. They combined to need only 41 total pitches in the win as they struck out 4 and walked just 2.
At the plate, Colton Tockstein doubled as part of his 2-for-3 day with 3 RBI and a run scored. Applegate had 2 hits and drove in 2 with RBI also from Bryan and Rhett Starnes. Kai Graham scored a run, Jax Schaubert scored twice, Owen Tennyson had a hit and 2 runs, Kellen Nix and Drew Consolino scored with Trygg Aaron adding a single.
Salem advances to the Sectionals beginning Saturday in Beardstown.
