Police Beat for Monday, July 11th, 2022

Centralia Police have arrested 41-year-old Dustin Payne of South Maple in Centralia for criminal sexual abuse after he allegedly inappropriately touched a woman with whom he had a prior relationship.  Police say the woman’s story was backed up by a mutual friend of the two who said Payne had allegedly admitted to committing the acts with the woman.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 30-year-old Lacie Linder of Choteau Avenue in Odin was arrested on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on pending charges of making a false 911 call and criminal trespass to land.  Bond is set at $20,000.
  • 20-year-old Bryce Hanes of Salem Drive in Salem was arrested on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant for a pending domestic battery case.  Bond is set at $2,500.
  • 20-year-old Kimberly Rice of DuQuion was arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding Perry County misdemeanor warrant with bond set at $10,000
  • 22-year-old Johnathon Bayles of Coach, Missouri was arrested on a Marion County failure to appear traffic warrant with bond set at $2,500.
