The Salem 12u All Stars opened up their District Tournament at Mt Carmel, losing their opener to Olney 18-1 with Salem only able to muster 3 hits in the game, singles from Drake Rector, Logan Butts and Nicoli Mahrenka. Jaxon Ward started the game for Salem on the mound and worked 2.2 before Scout Puricelli worked the final 1.1.
Also last night, Robinson moved to 2-0 with a big 11-0 win over Lawrence County.
Tonight begins at 6pm with the semifinal between Olney and Robinson followed at 8pm by the first elimination game of the tournament between Salem and Lawrenceville.
