Exciting Night At Little League Complex As Seasons Wind Down

In Little League Major’s, Lions outslugged Americana by a final score of 15-14.  In the win, Scout Puricelli cleared the fence with a grand slam coming up a single shy of the cycle.  Not to be outdone, Rhett Starnes had an inside the park grand slam and 6 RBI.  Walker Sherwin and Hayden Dasch had 2 hits and drove in runs, Kolby Hempen singled home a run and Wyatt Eagan hit safely as well.  The Lions jumped out to a 15-6 lead, but Americana closed the deficit to just 1 coming up short.

Bud’s Minor League needed just 5-innings to beat IGA 12-2.  Tripp Garden was the winning pitcher going 5 strong innings.  Multiple hits came from Jax Schaubert, Tanner Purintun, Benny Bryan, Teeghan Luallen and Nicholi Marhanka.

In boys coach pitch, Country Financial beat Jeff Dunahee in their final game of the regular season 15-12.  Levi Knapp, Peyton Etnier and Jace Alden each had 4 hits.  Reed Knapp, Greyson James and Dawson Thompson added 3 hits.  Jake Alvis was 2-3.  Garrett Hunter and Ryder Gambill also had 2 hits each.
