The Salem Wildcats JV baseball team knocked off Benton for the 2nd time this week, winning last night on the road 11-6.
The Cats opened up a 1-1 game in the second when they plated 5 runs. They would tack on 4 more in the fifth to pull away.
Rhett Detering and Colton Shelton doubled with Aden Bass and Jackson Green driving in 3 runs, Rhett Detering drove in 2 with RBI also from Cooper Lobek and Keaton Gullion who also scored twice. Ryan Detering singled along with Ayden Rose.
Lobek got the win on the mound going 5 innings allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, just 4 were earned, while striking out 8 and walking 4. Rhett Detering worked the final 2 innings allowing no hits.
