The SC Storm 14u improved to 8-4-1 on the season when they traveled to Mascoutah to play their 16u and got a pair of wins.
In the opener, SC won 10-9. Lauren Johnson got the win with Ella Watwood pitching 2 innings in relief. At the plate, Maddy Francois led SC with 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI. They also got RBI from Watwood, Taylor Stone and Alli Lammers.
In game 2 South Centrals bats stayed hot as they came away with a 9-0 victory. Francois got the win pitching 2 scoreless with 6 strikeouts. In relief, Rhyan Fiscus finished off the combined 1 hit shutout with 2 strikeouts. At the plate, Lauren Johnson homered as well as Francois. Francois led the team with 3 rbi followed by Johnson with 2. Kylie Nalewajka and Kyra Swift each doubled and had an rbi
in the game.
The Storm 07 team will be back in action Saturday at 10am when the open up the Semo State tournament in Cape Girardeau against the Semo Rampage.
