Salem Tire & Peoples National Bank Earn Junior League Wins At Complex

At the Salem Little League Complex last night in Junior League play, Salem Tire knocked off Elks 13-5.  Colten Starnes was the winning pitcher going 4.2 allowing 5 hits and 3 earned runs.  Starnes, Zane Dodson and Caiden Beer each doubled with Riley Tate driving in 3 runs, 2 each from Carter Lowe and Starnes.  In the loss for Elks Jaret Gibson went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored.  Jarrett Rushing drove in a run with Brayden Wood and Anthony Wilburn getting the other hits.

Peoples National Bank beat Casey’s 9-3.  Aiden Rostance was the winning pitcher allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs.  At the plate, Ben Ryan went 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored, Alijah Carroll added a double and 2 RBI.  Zane Barthelemy and Anthony Wilburn added RBI.  Casey’s Kyler King went 2-2 with a run scored with Eli Lograsso and Landon Tennyson adding hits.  Evan Barnes went 4 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs with Eli Lograsso working the final inning.

In girls coach pitch, Fabick came back in the bottom of the 5th to beat Rural King 8-7.  Kinleigh Barton singled, Allie Bishop added 2 hits along with Abrianna Hamilton, Tamryn Engel had 3 hits along with Emma Hummel and Raegan Matthews with Emerie Cluck and Harlow Tellefsen added 4 hits.  Matthews hit in the winning run.
