Salem JV Baseball Sweeps Visiting Greenville

The Salem Wildcats JV won a pair of games Saturday at SCHS Field defeating visiting Greenville 11-0 and 12-6.  In the opener, Salem got 2 RBI from Colten Starnes and Rhett Detering.  Also driving in runs for the Cats were Noah Nix, Josh Powless, Aden Bass, Nate Paulson.  Jalen Inlow was the winning pitcher going 4 innings allowing 2 hits.  Aden Bass got the final 3 outs.

Salem won the 2nd game 12-6.  Inlow, Nix, Powless and Bass each drove in 2 with RBI also from Rhett and Ryan Detering.  Keaton Gullion also singled home a run and scored.  On the mound, Powless worked 2 innings allowing 2 hits and 3 runs, Bass followed with 2.2 innings allowing 2 runs.  Keaton Gullion worked the final 2.1 allowing just 1 hit and 1 run.

The Salem JV returns to action this week with a home double header tomorrow against Benton and then they will travel to Benton on Thursday.
