The 3a baseball Super Sectionals were held yesterday. Chatham Glenwood shutout Triad 3-0 at Millikin to win a trip to the state final four at the Duly Health & Care Field in Joliet where they will take on Washington after their 8-4 win over Sycamore at Geneseo. The other semifinal will see Crystal Lake South taking on Nazareth Academy.
The Edwardsville Tigers advanced to the Class 4a state semifinals with a 3-2 win over Plainfield North at Illinois Wesleyan. They will play the first semifinal on Friday at 3pm against the winner from Crestwood today with Brother Rice taking on Lincoln-Way West. The other Super Sectional games today will see Mundelin take on Glenbrook South and McHenry plays York.
