Today is the opening day of the state Final Four softball tournament held in Peoria at the Louisville Slugger Park. The day begins in Class 1a at 10am with Newark and Illini Bluffs followed at 12:30 by Casey Westfield and Forreston.
The 2a semifinals begin at 3pm with Taylor Rockridge against Pontiac followed by Freeburg and Tolono Unity at 5:30.
The 3a sectional finals will be held today. At Rotary Park in Centralia, Marion takes on Highland at 4:30.
In 4a sectional finals, Edwardsville will play Bradly Bourbonnais in Pekin at 4:30.
