Two people have been sentenced to prison after entering guilty pleas in Marion County Court.
33-year-old Timothy Morton of Morton Lane in Kell was sentenced to three years in prison for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. The sentence will run concurrently with three year prison terms also handed down in Washington and Jefferson County courts on burglary convictions.
Another possession of meth charge and a count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were dropped in Marion County Court as part of the plea agreement. He will also receive credit for time already served and serve one year of parole after getting out of jail.
26-year-old Cornell Hannah of South Kaskaskia in Nashville was sentenced to two years in prison to be followed by one year of parole after pleading guilty to a petition to revoke his probation on a felony criminal damage to state supported property charge. The revocation was for failing to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment.
