In Little League Majors last night, Americana beat Minor League 8-1 scoring five times in the opening inning. Drake Rector, Colton Tockstein, Lance Nix and Cameron Slater each had RBI in the inning. In the 3rd inning, Drake, Colton, Lance and Cameron came through with RBI again. Tockstein worked 4 innings on the mound allowing 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 9. Jax Schaubert started the game for Minor League going 2 innings allowing 5 hits and had 3 strikeouts. Bentley Bryan and Huck Mulvaney came in to finish up the game.
IGA beat Rotary 11-3. In the win, Damon Jennings had 2 triples and scored, Logan Butts had 3 hits, Vince Krajefska went 4-4, and Archer Bechdoldt added 2 hits including a double. Trigg Aaron was the winning pitcher. For the Rotary Reds, Kai Graham and Zane Applegate had a pair of hits with Trenton Shelton also adding a single.
In boys coach pitch, Gold Link and Diamond Center beat Salem Bowl 11-7. In the win, Jaxten Recto had 4 hits with a double, Carson Hamson added 3 hits, Elijah Meyers 2 hits with a huge triple, Braxton Harris and Easton Keller turned a double play and Carson Hamson and Keller turned a double play to end the game.
In girls majors, Landers beat Dairy Queen 12-1. Chelsey Haines was the winning pitcher with 5 strikeouts. At the plate Abigail Westman, Kinslie Parrish, Samara Simmons and Trisha McKenzie each drove in 2 runs. Maxlyn Maciejowski had 2 hits and a RBI.
