Two members of the Salem Wildcats boys track team will be competing in the IHSA 2A Boys Track and Field Championships this week. Sophomore Caleb Smith is ranked number one in the shot put and will also be in the discus as well. Junior Cole Johnson is ranked 11th in the discus. Both will throw on Friday May 27th. The shot starts at 9 am followed by the discus. The top 9 of each event will come back on Saturday May 28th for the finals. The championship is held on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.
