The Salem Wildcats will try for the 3rd time this week to open up their 2a baseball regional at Vandalia. Salem will travel to play Teutopolis today in the 2nd semifinal at 4pm. The winner will play in tomorrow’s championship against the other semifinal winner today featuring top-seed Paris and the host Vandals that now begins at 2pm.
Yesterday at Breese Central, the game between Wesclin and Father McGivney was suspended with the game tied at 4. They will continue today at 4:30. DuQuoin beat Benton 2-1, Gillespie 4-2 over Carlinville, Carmi beat Fairfield 7-5, Hamilton County 6-5 over Vienna in 8 innings. The game at Newton with the hosts and Marshall moved to today at 1 followed by Flora and Robinson at 4pm.
