Cleanup continues Friday on a path of storm damage from north of Breese to near Jamestown in Clinton County where one trained storm spotter reported seeing a tornado. Several large outbuildings were heavily damaged and one semi-trailer was moved across the road.

The Centralia area was also hit hard, with a number of trees and tree limbs reported down and at least six homes hit by falling trees and large limbs. Another farm outbuilding was overturned south of Bartelso and wind damage was reported in the Hoyleton area. A tree fell into a home in the 3300 block of Norton Road in rural Sandoval. Only a few downed tree limbs were reported in Salem.

The National Weather Service had issued tornado warnings for parts of Marion, Clinton, and Clay Counties as a result of storm rotation seen in the clouds. Heavy rains followed the severe weather, dumping 2.02 inches of rain at the Salem Water Plant and 1.23 inches at the Centralia Water Plant.

The Centralia Fire Department reported tree damage to vacant homes in the 400 block of North Beech and the 600 block of North Lincoln. Other damage was reported to homes in the 400 block of North Walnut and the 500 block of South Elm. WJBD Facebook friends also reported a tree through a skylight in Deerwood Mobile Home Park. The fire department also helped clear a number of large trees and tree limbs that brought down power lines.
