Deuel Veterinary Services in Salem is closing.
After 15 years serving the Salem community and surrounding area, Dr. Abby Deuel of Deuel Veterinary Services says her practice will close on August 20, 2026 at 5pm.
Dr. Abby and her family are moving overseas to pursue a career opportunity that is a “once in a lifetime adventure.” The office will continue to make appointments and serve clients during their normal business hours until August 20.
Clients may request their digital records by visiting their website at www.deuelveterinaryservices.com and clicking on “Request Records.” Since the records are digital, they are unable to provide a printed copy. All records must be requested before August 19 to allow the staff at Deuel Vet to send them out.
Dr. Abby would like to thank the community for their continued support over the last 15 years. Dr. Abby has spayed and neutered over 15,000 animals while in Salem; she hopes that the effort will continue.
There will be an auction on August 29 at the clinic on North Broadway. Deuel says she was unsuccessful in trying to find a veterinarian to take her place.
