UNDATED (AP) — The Miami Heat warmed up for the NBA playoffs while damaging the Atlanta Hawks’ potential seeding.
Bam Adebayo scored 24 points, including a go-ahead dunk with 27 seconds remaining in the Heat’s 113-109 triumph over the Hawks. Miami closed on a 10-2 to pull out its 53rd win.
Jimmy Butler finished 20 points, Kyle Lowry added 16 points and Tyler Herro had 15 for the Heat.
Miami was playing one night after clinching the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Trae Young scored 35 points for the Hawks, who fell to ninth in the East.

— Devin Booker scored 33 points and the NBA-leading Suns overcame a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Jazz, 111-105. Deandre Ayton had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Chris Paul had 16 points and 16 assists to help the Suns extend their franchise record with their 64th victory. Mikal Bridges added 18 points, capping a 14-0 Phoenix run in the fourth quarter to tie it at 98.
— Luka Doncic had 39 points, 11 rebounds and his 16th technical foul of the season for the Mavericks in a 128-78 thrashing of the Trail Blazers. The Mavericks will play their regular-season finale Sunday without Doncic, unless the technical foul is rescinded by the NBA office. Dallas will open a first-round playoff series at home for the first time since its 2011 NBA championship season.
— Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered 30 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists to help the Bucks rout the Pistons, 131-101. Antetokounmpo needs 35 points or more Sunday in the season finale at Cleveland to join Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only Milwaukee players to average 30 points for a season. Brook Lopez added 17 points and Khris Middleton had 15 in Milwaukee’s third straight win.
— Gary Trent Jr. made the winning layup with 4.8 seconds left to send the Raptors past the Rockets, 117-115. Trent had 26 points and Pascal Siakam contributed 29 points and 10 rebounds. Houston led 53-29 early in the second quarter.
— The Nets have control of the seventh seed in the East following a 118-107 win over the Cavaliers. Kevin Durant scored 36 points and led a pair of runs that helped Brooklyn pull even with Cleveland in the standings. Kyrie Irving shook off a poor shooting night to finish with 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Nets, who close the regular season against the Pacers.
— LaMelo Ball scored 24 points and the Hornets buried the Bulls early in a 133-117 win. Charlotte led 79-51 through the first two quarters, the most points allowed in a half this season by Chicago. The Hornets shot 60.5% and made 19 of 40 3-pointers, with Ball hitting 5 of 9 from downtown.
— Stanley Johnson scored a season-high 21 points and the Lakers snapped their eight-game losing streak with a 120-101 victory over the Thunder. Wenyen Gabriel added 16 points as the Lakers wrapped up the home portion of their dismal season with their first win since March 21
— Obi Toppin scored a career-high 35 points to send the Knicks to an easy 114-92 win over the Wizards. RJ Barrett scored 14 points for New York before leaving the game with a sprained right knee.
