The City of Centralia is mourning the death of former Mayor Becky Ault.
Ault died Friday morning at Centralia Manor at the age of 80.
The Mayor and City Council are extending their deepest condolences to Ault’s family. She served on the City Council from 2005 to 2007 and as Mayor from 2007 to 2011.
City officials note she had a passion for serving others and gave so much time and heart to Centralia. They say their heartfelt prayers go out to the family and friends of Mayor Ault and also the community.
While working at the social service agency BCMW, Ault was instrumental in the start of the BCMW-WJBD Adopt a Family program to help the less fortunate at Christmas.
Funeral services are pending at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia.
