Salem Police collected 62 pounds of unwanted medications at the Drug Take Back event held by the Federal Drug Administration across the country.
Deputy Chief Susan Miller that brings the total amount of unwanted medications collected during the semi-annual program to 1,673 pounds. While both Salem and Centralia Police participate in the Drug Take Back program, both will take unwanted or old drugs at anytime of the year.
