Fire caused minor damage to a rural Centralia home early Saturday morning.
Kell Firemen say the fire was at the John Downs home at 33-06 Phelps Road east of Centralia. the blaze was caused by a wood stove. The fire burned a hole in the floor through to the basement.
The occupants woke up when the room filled with smoke.
Centralia Fire Protection District and Salem Fire were called for mutual aid at the scene while Odin and Mt. Vernon covered the Kell Station in the event of another fire. United Medical Response was also on the scene.
The fire call came in at 12:47 Saturday morning. Firemen were on the scene until 2:25 pm.
