Linda L. Moore, 72, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:50 pm on January 8, 2021, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Linda was a faithful member of Ina Freewill Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Linda will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Mount Catherine Cemetery in Woodlawn, Illinois. A Graveside Service begins at 1:00 pm with Reverend Brad Ryan officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Linda’s honor to Ina Freewill Baptist Church. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 10 people under the tent at a time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone to wear a mask. She was born April 24, 1948, in Jefferson County, Illinois to the late Claude and Lois (Johnson) Payne. Linda married Frank Moore on January 2, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were blessed with 18 years of marriage.
In addition to her beloved husband, Linda is survived by her children, Amy Tinsley and significant other, Maurice Jones and Bryan Tinsley, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Clayton Tinsley and wife, Tori of Kirkwood, Missouri and Kyla Tinsley of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Virginia Witzel and husband, Charles of Irvington, Illinois and Marilyn Buranich and husband, Tom of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Payne.
